VISION STATEMENT
The vision of the World Missionary Association is to provide programs and projects that will bring spiritual help, physical help and educational opportunities to people around the world who have not had the opportunities or means to find assistance on their own. These goals will be achieved by missionaries from the organization traveling to the areas in need to provide assistance. Also by sponsoring and supporting National Christian leaders to achieve the goals of the organization. The World Missionary Association will also participate in liason projects with other organizations with like vision to achieve its goals. The end result of our goals is to i) train Christian leaders and plant and build churches, ii) provide medical assistance by sending teams of trained personnnel to assist build and staff clinics staffed by National trained personnel, and iii) to build educational facilities and provide the necessary educational staff.
HISTORY
The World Missionary Association has its roots in the teachings of D.S. Warner and shares the history of the Church of God located at Anderson, Indiana. The World Missionary Association is a self governing organization with its own board of directors. It is registered with Guide Star and can be found on their National Directory of Non-Profit Organizations. It is also recognized as a Freestanding Organization of the Church of God. It was founded as a support ministry for missions and missionaries around the world. Members of the WMA staff have visited and assisted missions in Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Guatemala, Costa Rica, China, Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya and many more. The World Missionary Association has supplied work teams, staffing and equipment to missions over the years. A long term project in the Republic of Botswana, Africa resulted in the establishment of the Botswana Church of God Mission with several congregations in the country today. WMA has assisted with an elementary school project in Guatemala, supplying finances, supplies, equipment and construction labor. WMA has participated in Medical Team projects in the Dominican Republic working with Medical Ministries International. The World Missionary Association has assisted the Children's International Lifeline project in Haiti, providing "Shoe Box Christmas Gifts" and many other supplies.
